MIRE/C³, the product

Thinkst OpenCanary

Thinkst created Canary and her open-source sibling, OpenCanary, along with Canary Tokens.

This inspired The OpenCanary Experience, which in turn inspired MIRE/C³.

Tracebit

Tracebit issues the live canary credentials MIRE/C³ hands out. When an attacker tries one, we know.

Caddy Server

The Caddy Server is fabulous open-source software. High-grade TLS security and automation included for free.

GeoLite

Network and country names in the statistics come from MaxMind’s GeoLite databases. This product includes GeoLite Data created by MaxMind, available from https://www.maxmind.com.

Claude Code

Much of the MIRE/C³ code and this site were built together with Claude Code, Anthropic’s coding assistant.

mire.cc, the website

A static site

mire.cc started life on WordPress. It is now plain static pages, built by a small Python script and served straight from disk. Less to patch, nothing to log in to.
