MIRE/C³ is a small, independently run site. This page describes the data that passes through it and why.
What this site doesn’t do
- No user accounts, no passwords, no login of any kind.
- No advertising, no ad trackers, no analytics scripts (Google Analytics or otherwise), no social-media pixels.
- Nothing here is sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
Cloudflare
This site sits behind Cloudflare, which proxies every request before it reaches the origin server. Cloudflare sees your IP address and request details as a normal function of being a reverse proxy/CDN, independent of anything this site does. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Where you see a Cloudflare Turnstile widget (on the contact form), it runs a privacy-preserving challenge to filter automated abuse. It does not use tracking cookies or build an advertising profile. It is still a third-party script loaded from Cloudflare when the page renders.
Cookies
This site does not set any cookies of its own.
The like button on each post remembers that you’ve already liked it using localStorage in your browser – not a cookie. It never leaves your device and isn’t readable by this site’s server.
If a Cloudflare Turnstile challenge appears, it runs inside an iframe served from Cloudflare’s own domain. Any cookies that involves are set by Cloudflare on its domain, not this site’s – see Cloudflare’s cookie policy.
Server access logs
The web server logs each request’s IP address, user agent, requested path and timestamp. These logs are kept for up to 28 days for security and troubleshooting (e.g. spotting abuse), then rolled off and deleted. Nothing in these logs is used for tracking or shared onward.
Contact form
Submitting the contact form sends what you type – name, email address, subject, message – via Resend (a transactional email API) to the site owner’s inbox. It is used only to read and reply to your message. It is not stored in a database on this site; a short-lived, IP-keyed counter (expires within 24 hours) is kept only to cap how many submissions one IP can send per day, as an abuse backstop behind Turnstile.
Post “likes”
Clicking like on a post increments an anonymous counter, stored in Cloudflare KV. Nothing identifies you beyond your IP address, which is used only to stop the same IP incrementing the same like more than once per rolling 24 hours – that record expires automatically after 24 hours. No account, cookie, or persistent identifier is involved.

Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
